Share Your Music in a Snap

September 12, 2019

Our new integration means you can share your content with fans in a few easy steps.

Sharing music on social media is an important way to make a statement — especially if you only have 24 hours to make it. But dealing with cumbersome workarounds like adding links and capturing screenshots to share that music is time-consuming for artist teams and a poor experience for fans. That’s why we’re excited to announce our newest integration, which allows for seamless and instantaneous sharing between Spotify and Snapchat. Just like we did with Instagram Stories last year, this new integration now makes it easier for artists and their teams to get Snapchat fans listening to their music or podcasts.

Here’s how it works: On Spotify, artists and social media managers (and, of course, your listeners) will now see a Snapchat option on the share menu. Once you select your song, album, podcast, or playlist, Snapchat will create a new Snap with the full album art displayed. From there, just edit and send out your Snap — to either a few people or all of your friends and fans via your Snapchat story. They can then swipe up when viewing your Snap to open up Spotify and start playing your music.

The Snapchat integration is now available on the Spotify apps on iOS and Android. We look forward to seeing how artists and their teams use this new tool as a part of their campaigns to promote new releases, tour announcements, anniversaries, and big events. It’s also another great way to connect with fans — especially when it’s the perfect piece of music at just the right Snap.

Spotify for Artists helps you to develop the fanbase you need to reach your goals.
