Connecting your Shopify store to Spotify for Artists

Connect your Shopify store to Spotify for Artists to sell merch to your fans.

You need to connect your Shopify store to an artist before you can list merch on Spotify. You can only link 1 Shopify store per artist.

Start by installing the Spotify for Artists app in the Shopify App Store, or follow the steps below.

On web:

1. Log in to artists.spotify.com.
2. Click Merch.
3. Click Connect store.
4. Enter your Shopify store URL and click Link shop.
   Tip: This is the URL in the address bar when you’re on your Shopify store (e.g. “your-store-name.myshopify.com”).
5. Log in to Shopify, then follow the steps to set up your accounts.
   Note: You’ll be prompted to Add sales channel, accept the terms, and choose the artist you want to link your shop to.

On the Spotify for Artists iOS mobile app:

1. Tap in the bottom-right.
2. Tap Connect store. You’ll be taken to the Spotify for Artists page on the Shopify app store.
3. Tap Add app.
4. Log in to Shopify, then follow the steps to set up your accounts.
   Note: You’ll be prompted to Add sales channel, accept the terms, and choose the artist you want to link your shop to.

Tip: Pin the Spotify for Artists app to the sidebar in Shopify so it’s easier to find.

Now that you’ve connected Shopify, you can start listing merch on Spotify for Artists.

Setting up a multi-artist store on Shopify

If you’re using your Shopify account to sell merch for multiple artists, you need to set up a multi-artist store.

You’ll need to first connect your Shopify account to Spotify for Artists. We recommend confirming that all of the items in each artist’s collection belong to that artist. This ensures that an artist’s items are not displayed in the wrong place on Spotify or promoted to a different artist’s fans.

1. Log in to Shopify.
2. Choose another artist to add to your roster.
   Tip: If you’re having trouble finding the artists you haven’t added a collection to, click No collection to filter down to just those artists.
3. Click Add collection.
4. Select the collection you want and click Add collection.

You can only add one collection per artist. If you want to add the same collection to multiple artists, you need to create a copy of the collection.

You can connect or disconnect as many artists as you like. You can sort, search, and filter your roster. If you add more than five artists, they’ll be stored on additional pages.

Disconnecting a Shopify store

You’ll need to disconnect Shopify from Spotify for Artists if you want to:

• Connect your artist profile to a different Shopify store
• Have Merchbar merch show on your profile again

To disconnect your Shopify store:

1. Log in to your Shopify store.
2. Go to Spotify for Artists.
3. Click Disconnect.
