Changes to Spotify for Artists historical data

We’re standardizing historical data access across our Spotify for Artists analytics features.

Music tab data changes

In December 2023 we replaced the ‘Since 2015’ filter with an ‘All time’ filter on the Music > Releases and Music > Songs tabs.

Note: It’s no longer possible to download data from before the past 2 years plus the year to date.

Audience data changes

In August 2023 we updated the stats available on the Audience tab Audience > Overview tab. You can still see streams, listeners, and followers stats on the new tab - plus streams per listener, saves, and playlist adds.

This data is available for the past 2 years plus the year to date.

Note: It’s no longer possible to download audience data from before the past 2 years plus the year to date.

Song data changes

As of July 2023 we provide data on song pages for the past 2 years plus the year to date.

You can still see all-time stream counts for your songs.

Note: It’s no longer possible to download song data from before the past 2 years plus the year to date.

Why we’re making these changes

These changes make it possible for us to bring exciting new analytics features to Spotify for Artists, such as:

  • Custom date range filters on more pages
  • New engagement stats on your Songs page
  • New fan segmentation of your active audience
  • More historical data on your Audience engagement page
  • A new roster management view

We've also removed a few analytics features that have low usage, including Similar artists and Compare to other artists.
