Spruce Up Your Artist Profile with Image Galleries and Social Connections

March 7, 2018

Announcing two new features to make your artist page even better.

Here at Spotify, we know that music may be the main thing, but it’s not the only thing — there are all kinds of ways for artists to share who they are with their fans. We want to make it as easy as possible for them to do so. That’s why we’ve added two new features to your artist page: The ability to upload your own custom image galleries, and tools for connecting all your social media accounts.

First, the photo galleries: You can now use your Spotify for Artists app to upload images to your very own photo gallery. Feel like putting up a bunch of pics from your latest tour? Wanna post some behind-the-scenes shots from your rehearsal space? You can now do that and so much more. Don’t be afraid to get creative! You can edit the order of the images, and even add up to 125 pics.

To make your life as easy as humanly possible, we made sure you can edit your gallery from the Spotify for Artists mobile app. You can also update your avatar image from the app now as well. Of course, you already know you can update your bio and use the Artist Pick feature from the app, right? Right. So now there’s no excuse for not keeping your page in tip-top shape. Your fans deserve nothing less.

Adding Social Links to your Profile

Speaking of fans, we know you use a number of tools to keep your supporters in the loop, so we’ve made it super-easy to add your various social media handles to your page. Just use the Spotify for Artists web tool to add your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Wikipedia links (it's not live on the app just yet). They’ll appear in the About tab on Spotify, satisfying the curiosity of any listener who’s hungry to know where you were born, what scenery is inspiring your music, or what you had for breakfast.

Our goal with Spotify for Artists is to make it easy for you to control how you’re represented in Spotify — whenever you want, from wherever you are. If you have questions about these new features, or other ideas for how we can shorten the distance between you and your fans, hit us up on Twitter — @spotifyartists. We’d love to hear from you!

Spotify for Artists helps you to develop the fanbase you need to reach your goals.
